Our wise God signals in a very human way when our world meets His world, when grace forms our life. It is so meaningful for our human nature, since we always attributed cleansing power to water, as one of the classical elements. In the power of Christ, this cleansing really happens. Life originates from water, divine life from the holy water.
We become God’s children, (it cleanses us from the original sin.), we become members of our church, and we get a patron saint. This is the beginning of our life in grace. It shows God’s great trust in us that he assigns parents to start it but he never leaves them alone.
